Adrine Takakjian

Adrine Takakjian (nee Papazian) 94, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Born and raised in Portland, Maine to the late Arshalous and Aram Papazian. Adrine was a former legal secretary for Robert Hartman Attorney-At-Law in Hasbrouck Heights for several years. 

Beloved wife of the late Herbert Takakjian. Devoted mother of Laura O'Leary and her husband Kevin, Amy Murray and her husband Thomas and the late Janet Takakjian. Dear sister of the late Mary Proodian, Arpi Jernazian and Seerarpi Papazian. Sister-in-law of the late Paul and Jack Takakjian. Loving grandmother of Danielle O'Leary, Jessica O'Leary, Kate Murray and Anna Murray. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

Adrine was a former volunteer at the YMCA in Hackensack and at the Election Polls in Hasbrouck Heights. She was an avid knitter, loved to take care of her indoor plants and to cook her delicious traditional Armenian meals. 

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, July 31st at 9:15 AM. Funeral Service at St. Leon Armenian Apostolic Church in Fair Lawn at 10:30 AM. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Thursday, July 30th from 3 - 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Leon Armenian Apostolic Church 12-61 Saddle River Rd. Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 would be appreciated.
