Amelia Cafiero (nee Celentano) 76, of Ridgefield formerly of Jersey City passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Born in Vico Equense, Italy to the late Carolina and Michele Celentano and came to the United States in 1970. Before retiring, Amelia was a seamstress for over thirty years. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Cafiero. Devoted mother of Antonio Cafiero and Saveria Capozzoli and her husband Vincent. Dear sister of Palma Russo, Nicola, Giovanni, Giuseppe and Mario Celentano. Loving grandmother of Ava and Giuseppe. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Amelia was known to many as an amazing cook and avid gardener who never left the house in less than three inch heels. She dedicated her life to her family and will be remembered by all for her generosity and warmth. A Memorial Mass will be offered at Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, December 16th at 11:30 AM. Inurnment following at Fairview Mausoleum. Memorial visitation on Friday from 10-11 AM at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights.
