Sutera
June 6, 1956 — August 11, 2022
Brian Sutera passed away peacefully at his home in Elmwood Park, he was 66 years old. Brian grew up in Saddle Brook and lived in Elmwood Park for the past 35 years. He worked for A&P in Saddle Brook until 2010 and prior to that at Eastern Christian Children's Retreat in Wycoff as the Director of Environmental Services.
Brian will be remembered for keeping his house, lawn, and car neat and meticulous. He took pride in the care of his lawn and would be seen outside his house picking weeds from the lawn by hand. To Brian, this was a form of relaxation and meditation. Also, Brian was always ready to lend a hand to his neighbors when they needed assistance.
Brian is survived by his loving wife Kathleen, his mother Edith, his brother Anthony Sutera, his brother-in-law Kenneth Noga and his wife Mary Ellen, nephews Charles S. "Chuckie" Sutera, Richard Sutera and his wife Jen, Kenneth Frank Noga, niece Valerie Susan Noga-Keeney and her husband Richard, as well as 4 grand nieces and nephews.
Brian was pre-deceased by his son Christopher (2007), his father Charles J. Sutera, Sr., and his brother Charles J. Sutera, Jr. and his wife Ruth.
Family will receive friends on Monday August 15, 2022 from 10am – 12pm at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard & Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12:15pm. Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus & Century Roads, Paramus.
