Carmela Stefano Nichilo (nee Covello) 92, of Englewood formerly of Secaucus passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Born in Jersey City to the late Frances and Frank Covello. Before retiring, Carmela was an accounts manager for David Michael Mercedes in Freehold. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Nichilo. Devoted mother of Meri Pace. Dear sister of the late Florence Chandler and Nickolaus Covello. Sister-in-law of the late Pauline Miele and Anthony Nichilo. Loving grandmother of Lauren Gannon and her husband Andy. Cherished great grandmother of Leonardo. Carmela is also survived by her adoring nieces and nephews.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, July 8th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Interment following at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Visitation Monday, July 7th  from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
