Obituary

  • Catherine Christina Groarke (nee Fahy), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and Godmother entered into Eternal Life on June 5, 2022.
    Born in Galway Ireland to parents Margaret and John Fahy, she spent much of her childhood with her beloved grandfather James McHugh.
    Before moving to the United States in 1954, Catherine lived in Manchester, England where she met and married her beloved husband Patrick, originally of Roscommon Ireland.
    Survived by adoring children John and wife Madeline, Michael and wife Joan, Mary, Theresa and husband Anthony.  Proud and loving grandmother of Jack and wife Mackenzie, Kevin, Caroline, Bradley and wife Lauren. Awaited in Heaven by beloved husband Patrick, infant son Brian and adored son-in-law Paul Fennelly.
    Catherine was Blessed to be a much loved Godmother, aunt and great aunt. She cherished her Godchildren, nieces and nephews and in return they gave her a lifetime of love, joy, kindness and laughter and in her final days they traveled from all over the country and world to be by her side to bring her comfort, love and prayers.
    Catherine was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church for many years.  She had true faith in God and devotion to The Blessed Mother.  She lived a life of dignity and grace, honesty and kindness and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
    A funeral Mass was held at Corpus Christi Church, Hasbrouck Heights and arrangements entrusted to Costa Memorial Home, Hasbrouck Heights.
