Obituary

Charleen A. Martinelli (nee Drumm) 76, of Wood-Ridge passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022. Born in Hoboken to the late Kathleen and Charles Drumm. Charleen was currently the manager at Sotheby's Prominent Properties in Jersey City and previously, worked at Coldwell Banker in Hoboken. Beloved wife of Richard R. Martinelli. Devoted mother of Richard J. Martinelli and his wife Deanna, Sheila D. Kronyak and her husband Michael, Charleen C. Schwartzman and her husband Todd and Michael C. Martinelli and his wife Francesca. Dear sister of Kathy Hoffman, Cissy Meyer, Charles Drumm and Kerry Furey. Loving grandmother of nine grandchildren.

Winner of several esteemed awards, including the Woman Of Industry Award, Realtor of the Year, President of the Hudson County MLS, and The Legend Award - not surprising to those who knew her! There was nothing she couldn't do! Charleen was always the smartest, sharpest person in the room, and we all knew it. Some of us didn't want to admit it, but we knew! A powerfully fierce force to be reckoned with, Charleen Anne is someone you want in your foxhole and in your corner. A brilliant mind and a natural coach, Charleen knew how to empower others, guiding them to become the best version of themselves. Moreover, you knew EXACTLY where you stood with Charleen; she was a straight shooter who gave fierce praise and constructive criticism. She could make a dilapidated house sound like a must have palace! If you wanted something done and done well, Charleen was always the "go-to".

Our hearts are breaking at the loss of someone who touched each and every one of us. Charleen, you leave behind people who love and admire you; you leave behind people who are better because of you.

Just to name a few, look at the number of hats you wore: wife, mother, partner, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, leader, friend, teacher, influencer, giver. You were a total force. You will be missed by each and every one of us. We love you so much.
