Charles A. Maikisch 91, of Lodi passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Born in New York City to the late Mary and Joseph Maikisch. Charles was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring, he was a postal clerk for the U.S. Post Office in New York City. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church in Lodi. Beloved husband of Vilma (nee Hidalgo) Maikisch. Devoted father of Daniel Maikisch and his wife Patricia, Patricia Williams, Loretta Croop and Susan Capozzi and her husband Joseph. Loving grandfather of ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Charles is predeceased by his eight brothers and two sisters. Brother-in-law of Arturo Hidalgo (Elisa), Jorge Hidalgo (Grimanesa), Regina Hidalgo and Lily Hidalgo. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and in Peru.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Monday, September 18th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church Lodi at 10 AM. Interment following at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, September 17th from 1-5 PM at the funeral home.
