HASBROUCK HEIGHTS- Charles A. McCarthy 66, of Hasbrouck Heights formerly of Bogota passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021. Born in Teaneck to the late Paul and Shirley McCarthy. Before retiring, Charles was Director of Buildings and Grounds for the Board of Education in Hasbrouck Heights. He was a former coach for the Girls Soccer Program and the Boys Basketball both in Hasbrouck Heights and a High School Football Official for twenty-six years. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Wrocklage) McCarthy. Devoted father of Allison Jones and William McCarthy and his wife Diana. Dear brother of Peggy Lawton and her husband Peter, Kathleen O'Daniels and her husband Barry, Ret. Col. John McCarthy and his wife Jody, Michael McCarthy and the late Paul, Gregory and Frances McCarthy. Brother-in-law of Peggy Ann Wrocklage. Loving grandfather of Jonathan, Charley and Brady. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, August 8th from 2-5 PM at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights. Private cremation will follow.
