Christopher "Christy" Harrington, 86, of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023. Born in Bantry, County Cork, Ireland to the late Mary (nee Harrington) Hosford, he immigrated to New York City in the 1960's and was proud to become a U.S. Citizen. Christy appreciated the opportunities that America offered and before retiring, Christy worked for The United Water Company for 35 years, but continued to work as a Crossing Guard in Hasbrouck Heights for over 20 years, until late 2022. He was a  parishioner of Corpus Christi RC Church, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.

Beloved husband to the late Alice (nee Meely) Harrington for 55 years. Devoted father of Christopher (Erin) Harrington of Glens Falls NY, Patrick Harrington of North Carolina and Catherine (Scott) Houba of Old Tappan, NJ. He has six grandchildren; Cailin, Aidan, Cara, Brodyn, Scotty and Brendan.

Christy loved the ocean, cruising, old cars, gardening, playing the fiddle and having an occasional Guinness. Several years ago he went back to Ireland with his cherished wife to tour their country and to visit his beautiful hometown, Bantry by the Bay.

Funeral Service at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, August 25 at 1PM. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park Paramus. Visitation Friday, August 25 from 11:30 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home.
