Donald P. Rieck 98, a lifelong resident of Little Ferry passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Before retiring, he worked for P.S.E.&G. at the Bergen Generating Station in Ridgefield for 37 years. Donald served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army,  was a life member of the Petersilge - Velock V.F.W. Post 809 in Little Ferry and a founding member of the V.F.W. Band. Donald along with his three brothers brought joy to many by parading and playing his trumpet. He would often play Taps at many memorial services. He loved growing his own vegetables and sharing with family and friends. Donald is predeceased by his wife Dorothy (nee Ullmann) and his brothers Elmer and William Rieck. He is survived by his daughters, Denise Jansen and her husband David and Sharon Kane and her husband Vincent J. His grandchildren, Jennifer Cordasco and her husband Rob, Vincent D. Kane and Alysia Kane and his great grandson, Matthew Cordasco. Donald is also survived by his brother, Roy Rieck and his wife Barbara.

Funeral Service at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday, December 11th at 10:30 AM. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Tuesday, December 10th from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
