Eckard Osowski of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ formally of Weehawken, NJ,  age 80, passed away on 11/23/2022 exactly 11 years to the day after his wife Barbara.

One of 5 siblings, husband, father of 3, grandfather to 1, and friend to many, he will be greatly missed.

Eckard was born on 8/20/1942 in Schwalben, Germany the son of Sigismund and Emma (Ernst) Osowski.  After immigrating to the US in 1952, he and his family worked on a farm in Indiana for several years and then decided to join their extended family and set up roots in Hudson County, NJ. During this time, he and his father built a successful real estate and restoration business and during the renovation of a building in West New York, met his wife, Barbara Palumbo. They went on to raise 3 daughters and eventually settle in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. Throughout the years, Eckard stayed busy renovating properties, being a landlord who was known for his fairness and caring approach, and enjoyed hobbies such as fishing (trips to Canada were always a highlight of the year), pool, playing cards (recently most Saturdays with a close friend) and a bit of golf.  He also loved well prepared food such as his beloved 'Veal Antonio' and was known to show up to a BYOB with a contractor's bucket full of wine.

He is predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Osowski, on 11/23/11 and his younger brother, Siegfried (Sigi) Osowski on 12/11/20.

Eckard is survived by his daughters and their families: Christine, Mark, and Kayla Handi (Windermere, FL), Sherri & Emilio Puzo (Morris Plains, NJ), and Lori & Jim Wills (Wantage, NJ) as well as his three sisters, Delila Triantafillou of Asheville, North Carolina, Elfriede Schneider of Wayne, New Jersey, and Margaret Osowski of San Antonio, Texas.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
