Eileen Schwyzer passed away Sunday morning, September 10, 2023. She was born June 29, 1938 to the late Frances and Edward Schwyzer in Union City NJ. She attended Holy Family High School and afterwards went to work at Metropolitan Life, where she retired after 41 years.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Janet Gray (Dennis) and is survived by her niece and nephew Rebecca Gray (Kurt Edwards) and David Gray (Diana). In addition she is survived by her grandniece and grandnephews Henry and Walker Edwards and Cara and Andrew Gray.

A life-long resident of New Jersey, Eileen lived in Rutherford, Lakewood, and Toms River, New Jersey throughout her life. She met and befriended countless people through her love of crafts and gaming. She was a brilliant, talented artist in many disciplines, including sewing (there was never a store-bought Halloween costume on her watch!), knitting, quilting, and cooking, among others. Her hand-made Christmas ornaments will continue to be enjoyed for many holidays to come. She loved playing, and frequently winning, Bingo, Canasta and Mah-Jongg.

Memorial visitation on Tuesday, September 26th from 10-11 AM at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights. Funeral Liturgy at Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard Hasbrouck Heights at 11:30 AM. Inurnment following at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
