Florence "Mickie" R. Garrett

Florence "Mickie" R. Garrett (nee Wodenshek) 77, of Wood-Ridge passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026. Born in Jersey City to the late Florence and Raymond Wodenshek. Before retiring, MIckie was a teacher for the Wood-Ridge Board of Education for 25 years and previously, she taught at the Assumption Parochial School in Wood-Ridge and Corpus Christi Parochial School in Hasbrouck Heights. Mickie was a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady in Wood-Ridge. Beloved wife of Edward M. Garrett. Devoted mother of Kathleen Auriemma and her husband John, Michael Garrett and his wife Anne Marie, Jeffrey Garrett and his wife Lisa and Patricia Laski and her husband George. Dear sister of Raymond Wodenshek and his late wife Ruth, Mariellen DeLellis and her husband Bill and the late Linda Remenschneider, Patricia Wodenshek and Christopher Wodenshek and his surviving wife Anne. Loving grandmother of Kristen, Devon, Dylan, Donovan, Megan, Allison, Luke and Randy. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, May 16th at 10 AM. Funeral Liturgy from the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady in Wood-Ridge at 11 AM. Private cremation will follow. Visitation Friday, May 15th from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the Wood-Ridge Memorial Foundation would be appreciated.
