Obituary

Gerald D. Lavelle, 72, born in Hackensack, NJ, resident of Paramus and formerly of Lodi, NJ, passed peacefully away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He is the beloved husband of Ann Lavelle (née Trozzolino), and the exceptional father of James and his wife Daria. He is the loving son of Hannah and the late Aloysius Lavelle, and dear brother of Aloysius Lavelle and his wife Jacqueline, the late Jack Lavelle and his wife Helen, Michael Lavelle and his wife Terri, Debra Iurato and her husband James, Linda Santangelo and her late husband James. He is the wonderful brother-in-law of Linda Trozzolino and her husband Elliot Mandwelle, and Janet Scott and her late husband Terence. He is the loving and devoted grandfather of Logan, Sabrina and Darren Lavelle, and the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as a banker. He loved boating, books, good food, and good music. He loved his family beyond measure. An infinitely kind, caring, and compassionate person, he will be lovingly remembered by the many relatives, friends, and colleagues who were lucky enough to know and love him.

We invite you to say farewell. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 2nd, from 3 - 7 PM at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave. (cor. of Blvd.), Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. The funeral will take place on Friday, January 3rd, at 9:30 AM, beginning at Costa Memorial Home, with a Funeral Liturgy  following at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 260 Boulevard Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi, NJ.
