Girolamo Carella 83, of East Rutherford passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020. Born in Moletta, Bari, Italy to the late Sabino and Maria Carella and came to the United States in 1964. He served as a police officer in Italy. Before retiring, Girolamo was a construction worker for Cobra Construction in Jersey City for thirty-five years and a member of the New Jersey Building Laborers. Beloved husband of fifty-six years to Maria (nee Valente) Carella. Devoted father of MaryAnn C. Spina, Elaine Germinario  and her husband Onofrio, Sabino Carella and his wife Dawn and Francesca Gentile and her husband Franco. Dear brother of Maria, Antonio, Filomena, Carmella, Anna, Nino and the late Cleto. Loving grandfather of Michele and his wife Maria, Robert, Allison, Angelica, Dante, Gianfranco and Giuliana. Services and entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington will be private. Arrangements are by Costa Memorial Home in Hasbrouck Heights.
