Giuseppe "Joe" Manente 86, of Moonachie formerly of Weehawken and Hoboken passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. Born in Molfetta, Bari, Italy in 1935 to the late Filomena and Vito Manente and then moved to Venezuela in 1950 and then to the United States in 1955. Before retiring, Giuseppe was a longshoreman for the International Longshoremen Association Local 1235 in Port Newark for forty years. He was a member of the Societa Unita in Union City for thirty years and was a patronizing member of Santi Medici in Little Falls and St. Anthony's Society in Brooklyn, NY. Beloved husband of sixty-one years to Maria (nee Agatone) Manente. Devoted father of Vito Manente and his fiancé Dawn, Phyllis Del Bagno and her husband Daniel and Patty Petruzzella and her husband Sal. Dear brother of Lena Binetti, Antoinette Mezzina, Luisa Mongelli, Tina Petruzzella, Franca Manente and the late Antonio Manente. Loving grandfather of Andrew, Victoria and her fiancé Joe, Benjamin, Damiana, Dominique, Caroline, Alexa and Corey Joseph. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, September 21st at 9:15 AM. Funeral Liturgy from the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady in Wood-Ridge at 10:30 AM. Entombment following in the family mausoleum at Fairview Cemetery.
