Helen B. Dressel (nee Madigan) 87, of Wood-Ridge passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Orange to the late Cecilia and Daniel Madigan and was raised in Nutley. Helen was a former Pediatric Nurse and worked with her late husband Joseph who owned the Wonder Bar in East Rutherford. She was a faithful parishioner of the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady, she was a former P.T.A. Mom at the Assumption School for fifteen years and a member of the 60 Plus Club all in Wood-Ridge. Beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Dressel. Devoted mother of Kathleen Drozdowski and her husband Joe, Kerry Dressel and Peggy Pappas and her husband Tommy. Dear sister of Monica Phalon and the late John and Daniel Madigan, Patricia Luzzi, Matthew and Carolyn Madigan. Her two grandsons (who lovingly referred to her as Mama Mia), TJ Pappas and Joseph Drozdowski and her two step-grandchildren Justin Drozdowski and Brianna Drozdowski. Helen was a devoted grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Helen was a cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was a huge fan of the NY Yankees, the NY Giants and Notre Dame.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, September 10th at 9:30 AM. Funeral Liturgy from the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady in Wood-Ridge at 10:30 AM. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visitation Monday, September 9th from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure ( www.komen.org ) would be appreciated.
