Obituary

Helen V. Landells (nee Weis) 96, of Wood-Ridge passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021. Born in Jersey City to the late Lillian and Bernard Weis, Sr. Before retiring, Helen was a bookkeeper for Curtiss-Wright in Carlstadt. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady and a member of the Rosary Society, the choir and was also a member of the Contemporary Club all in Wood-Ridge. She loved bowling, and Helen and her late husband Charles enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was an ambulance driver in Brooklyn during W.W.II. Beloved wife of the late Charles Landells. Devoted mother of Jeanne Haralla- Scafiddi and her husband John, Lynn Valenza, Charles Landells and Cheryl Anderson and her husband David. Dear sister of the late Bernard Weis, Jr. Loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, November 27th at 8 AM. Funeral Liturgy from the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady in Wood-Ridge at 9 AM. Interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Friday, November 26th from 2-6 PM at the funeral home.
