Jacqueline M. Petretta (nee Alonzo) 78, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023. Jacqueline received her Masters Degree from William Paterson University. Before retiring, Jacqueline was a teacher for the Board of Education in Union City and a member of the New Jersey Education Association. She was also an adjunct professor at William Paterson University. Previously, she taught at Boystown in Kearny and tutored children and adults with dyslexia. Jacqueline worked for the Special Olympics in Union City. She was also a graduate of L.I.M. and was a former buyer for Peck & Peck in New York City. Beloved lifelong partner of Michael Giangerelli. Devoted mother of Danielle Lucia Petretta and her husband John Regan. Dear sister of Donald J. Alonzo. Loving grandmother of Skylar Ruby and Avry Lily.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, September 9th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Private cremation will follow. Visitation Friday, September 8th from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
