Jacqueline 'Jackie' M. Symannek 89, of Wood Ridge, NJ passed away at home on Thursday, March 17, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Jackie was born on August 28, 1932 in Passaic, NJ to Frank and Mary ( Baran ) Klippel . She grew up in Clifton, NJ and graduated from Clifton High School. She then attended Hackensack Hospital Nursing School and graduated in 1953. She was proud to be a Registered Nurse and her career at Hackensack Hospital/HUMC s panned over 50 years. She dedicated her nursing career to working in pediatrics, NICU and nursing education.

Jackie met Engelbert Kurt Symannek in 1955, they fell in love and married in 1958.  They moved to Saddle Brook, NJ where they raised their three beautiful daughters. Kurt passed away in 2002 and Jackie then moved to Wood Ridge, NJ to begin the next chapter of her life.

J acki e was strong, smart, and determined and a caretaker at heart . She lived a long, full life, devoted to her family and friends.

Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary Klippel , her beloved husband, Engelbert Kurt Symannek , and her dear brother Frank Klippel .

She is survived by her loving family: Catherine Fiorica and her husband Raymond; Caroline Symannek Crowley and her husband James, and Joan Derramas and her husband Jose Evan; grandchildren Daniel, Andrew, Hunter and Devin; and her granddog Roxy.  Jackie also leaves behind many dear cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Jackie extended her kindness and caring heart beyond her family and always donated to several of her favorite charities. She would say that kindness is eternal, so please donate to your favorite charity in her memory.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday, March 23rd at 10:30 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church Hasbrouck Heights at 11:30 AM. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Tuesday, March 22nd from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
