Joanna Sagitas

Joanna Sagitas (nee Carfagno) 66, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026. Born in Kearny to the late Anna and Alfonse Carfagno. Joanna was a food server at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford and previously, she was a para professional at the Hasbrouck Heights Middle and High School. 

Beloved wife of 43 years to Vincent Sagitas. Devoted mother of David Sagitas and Ian Sagitas and his wife Arielle Garcia. Dear sister of Paula Reyes and her husband John. Loving niece of Rita Lyons-Henry and her husband James. Sister-in-law of Thomas Sagitas and his wife Brenda and Tracy Riggio. Cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, August 11th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Entombment following at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation Monday, August 10th from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
