Obituary

John "Jack" A. Coneys 84, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Born in Teaneck to the late Ellen and John Coneys. Jack received his Bachelors Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck. He was a Navy veteran during the Korean War. Before retiring, Jack was a Traffic Manager for Sunshine Biscuits in Sayreville and previously, he was Director of Traffic for Globe Products Company. He was a parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights where he was an active member of the Marriage Encounter, the Pre-Cana Program, Cursillo and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a volunteer in Pastoral Care at Hackensack University Medical Center, a founding member of the ROMEOS, a member of the Republican Club,  a former member of the Board of Health, the Mayor's Celebration Committee, an Election Poll worker all in Hasbrouck Heights and was a member of St. Cecilia Alumni Association in Englewood. Beloved husband of the late Gloria J. (nee Wisniewski) Coneys. Devoted father of Terri DeLorenzo and her husband Fran, Jeffrey Coneys and his wife Trish and Glynis Herrmann. Dear brother of Carol Otto and the late Michael Coneys. Loving grandfather of Jason DeLorenzo and his wife Jill, Sarah DeLorenzo and her fiancé Christopher Rittershofer, Kevin Coneys, Bridget Coneys, Katie Coneys, Gillian Herrmann and Courtney Herrmann. Cherished great grandfather of Simon, Gregory and Catherine. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, July 10th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church at 10 AM. Interment following at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. Visitation Friday, July 9th from 2-8 PM at the funeral home.
