John Bialek "Slab" 56, of Garfield formerly of Wood-Ridge and Wallington passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Born in Pennsylvania to the late Catherine and Michael Bialek. He was a graduate of Wallington High School. He was a coach for the Little League and Pop Warner football in Wood-Ridge and was very involved with his children's activities. John is survived by his former wife Lisa Gonnella, his children Brandon Bialek and Brian Bialek and his wife Stephanie, his sisters; Mary Bevacqua and Susanne Pollock, his brother; Michael Bialek, Jr., his grandchildren; Hailey Bialek and Brian Bialek, Jr., his nephews; Michael and Patrick Hoban and his nieces; Harley Bevacqua and Sean Pollock. He loved to hunt, ride his Harley motorcycle, play the drums and loved to spend time wth his family and friends. Memorial visitation at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, November 6th from 1-3 PM with a Service at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN. 38105 would be appreciated.
