John Henry Dammann 84, of Hasbrouck Heights formerly of Jersey City, the son of the late Marie and Henry Christian Dammann went to heaven on Sunday, January 9, 2022. He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy and his son John Michael. John is survived by his five children, Mark Smith and his wife Tina and their children Darren and his wife Daniella and Nicole and her husband Drew. Neil Smith and his wife Heidi and their children Jason, Jared and Olivia. His daughter Christine Tirella and her children Brian and his wife Melissa, her daughter Heather, Amy Palmitano and her husband Rodrigo and her son Justin Tirella. His son Reverend Eric Dammann and his wife Eileen and their children John, Eric Jr., David, Dana and Caleb. His daughter Jean Dammann and her children Janelle and her husband Craig, Tyler, and Ava. Along with four great grandchildren Cassie Scherr, Griffin Smith, Makaila Bonnell and Scarlett Zucker. John served in the Army from 1956-1958 attaining the rank of sergeant. He worked for AT&T for over thirty years till he retired in 2004. John was an active member of Birchwood Heights Chapel in Randolph. John moved to Whitehaven, PA. in 2004 and was active in Mountainview Community Church. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, January 14th at 10 AM. Interment following at Greenwood Cemetery, Boonton. Visitation Thursday, January 13th from 6-9 PM with a Service at 8 PM at the funeral home. Masks will be required upon entering the funeral home.
