Josefa Hidalgo (nee Cisterna) 98, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Born in Banas, Oriente Cuba to the late Rosa and Domingo Cisterna and came to the United States in 1965. Before retiring, Josefa was a seamstress and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Beloved wife of the late Modesto Hidalgo. Devoted mother of Ruben Hidalgo and his wife Janet and Magali Hidalgo and her husband Joe Daidone. Loving grandmother of Elena Wakely and her husband Robert, Christine Belansky and her husband John, Joseph Daidone and Olivia Daidone. Cherished great grandmother of Robbie, Taylor and Kayla.

Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are by Costa Memorial Home in Hasbrouck Heights.
