Joseph G. DeCandia 91, of Freeport, Fl. formerly of Lodi passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Born in Hoboken to the late Anthony and Elizabeth DeCandia and was raised in Cliffside Park. He received his Bachelors Degree from Seton Hall University. Before retiring, Joe was a teacher at Wood-Ridge High School. He was head golf pro at Lake St. Catherine's Country Club in Poultney, Vermont for fifteen years. Joe was a former parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Lodi. Beloved husband of the late Margie (nee Sproviero) DeCandia. Devoted father of Scott DeCandia and his wife Denise and the late Anthony DeCandia and his surviving spouse Vicki. Dear brother of Beatrice Piercy and her husband Ray, Phyllis Tedesco and her late husband William, Anna Marie Cohen and the late Arthur DeCandia and his surviving spouse Josephine. Brother-in-law of the late Victoria and Frank Averso. Loving grandfather of Cari and Denise, Nicholas, A.J., Jackie and Aaron. Cherished great grandfather of Nathan, Ava Marie, Cortland and Kensington. Also survived by his seven nieces and nephews.
