Joseph R. Sarao "Sonny" 95, of Lodi passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. Born in Jersey City to the late Vincenza and John R. Sarao. Joseph was an Army veteran of the Korean War serving from 1951-1953. Before retiring, he was a supervisor for the U.S. Post Office in Jersey City. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine (nee Buico) Sarao. Devoted father of Robert J. Sarao and his late wife Lena, Joseph R. Sarao and his wife Olga Wiley, MD. and the late Susan Sarao. Dear brother of Thomas J. Sarao and the late Ralph, Phyllis, John, Margaret and Mary. Loving grandfather of Christian Anthony Sarao and Gianna Sarao.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday, October 23rd at 9:30 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Joseph's R.C. Church 40 Spring Street in Lodi at 10:30 AM. Entombment following at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation Tuesday, October 22nd from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
