Joseph Scopac 77, of Saddle Brook formerly of Fair Lawn passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Born in Hoboken to the late Antoinette (nee DeCeglie) and Joseph Scopac. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Joseph was the founder and owner of Scopac Construction Company in Paterson. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn where he served as head usher and a Eucharistic Minister. He was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 2853 in Fair Lawn, served as a District Deputy and was a past Faithful Navigator of the Joseph F. Lamb Fourth Degree Assembly and its Color Corps Commander. He was also a past president the Fair Lawn Football Association. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Borchert) Scopac. Devoted father of Joseph R. Scopac and his wife Angela, Michael Scopac and his wife Stefanie and Susan Scopac and her fiancé Brian Hines. Dear brother of Paul Scopac and his wife Sharon, Raymond Scopac and his companion Josephine Russo, Linda Lagana and her companion Russell Grabinski and Tommy Scopac. Brother-in-law of Colleen Spranger and her husband John. Loving grandfather of Daniel, Samantha, Daniela and her husband Sal, Frankie, Joey, Alexis and the late Nicholas. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his granddogs Rocky and Capone. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Monday, August 8th at 9:30 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn at 11 AM. Interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th from 2-5 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in memory of Joseph Scopac would be appreciated.
