Katherine A. Loewy (née Krzyzaniak), 91, of Moonachie, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. Born in Queens, NY, on October 4, 1934, she was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret and Frank Krzyzaniak, and sister to the late Margaret Annunziato and Alice DeMartino.

She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Lawrence "Larry" M. Loewy, the love of her life. Their marriage was a rare and beautiful bond filled with laughter, devotion, and unwavering care, an inspiration to all who knew them.

Katherine was the devoted mother of Susan Oechsner and her late husband Timothy, Jane Loewy, and the late Lawrence Loewy. She was a cherished aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Known most importantly as "Nanny," Katherine radiated warmth, kindness, and humor. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, Timothy and his wife Jacqueline, Olivia, and Ryan. Who she adored endlessly. She also had a special place in her heart for her "granddogs"- Laney, Skylar, Maggie, and Rigatoni, who brought her so much joy, cuddles, and laughter.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quick wit, and the endless love she gave so freely. Katherine's legacy of kindness will live on through all who knew her.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, October 21st at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from the Church of the Sacred Heart in Rochelle Park at 10 AM. Interment following at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Visitation Monday, October 20th from 3 - 7 PM at the funeral home.
