Lynn M. Gansley 67, of Hackensack formerly of Wood-Ridge passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Born in Jersey City to the late Vincent and Carole Gansley. Lynn received her Bachelors Degree from William Paterson University and her Masters Degree from Seton Hall University. Lynn worked for the Archdiocese of Newark for 41 years and was a Theology teacher at Immaculate Heart Academy in the Township of Washington for 36 of those years. She was the former Head of the Theology Department, moderator for the Eucharistic Ministers, bowling coach where she was awarded numerous league, county and state titles and was named Coach of the Year several times by the Bergen Record. She also implemented the Senior Retreat at the school. Lynn was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Lodi where she served as a lector, Eucharistic Minister and served on the R.C.I.A. program and their Feast Committee. She was an avid Giants fan and loved going to the beach. Dear sister of Caryn Jordan and her husband Tim, Gail Van Houten and her husband Robert and Jennifer Gansley and her fiancé John Adams. Devoted and loving aunt of Christopher and his wife Kristin Jordan, Daniel Jordan, Bobby Van Houten, Jillian and her husband Shane Bischoff, Eric Van Houten and Tara Van Houten. Great aunt of Holly and Summer Jordan. Visitation on Monday, January 23rd at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Lodi from 1:30 - 5 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 5 PM. The interment on Tuesday, January 24th at Fairview Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Special Olympics would be appreciated. Arrangements are by Costa Memorial Home in Hasbrouck Heights.
