Lynn
Gross
October 7, 1930 — January 7, 2021
Quick to smile and eager for fun, LYNN GROSS, 1930-2021, was a diligent worker and a great organizer.
The highlight of her career were the years she devoted to International Theater Institute, USA where she was the Associate Director with Director Martha Coigney. ITI works to foster communication between theater people of all nations. After retiring Lynn volunteered at the Whitney Museum and at the Asian Art Department of the Metropolitan Museum. Before ITI Lynn worked at the NYU Theater Department and prior to that, EUE Screen Gems. She graduated from Brooklyn College and Hunter High School.
Lynn loved people, cooking, gardening, swimming and sailing. During occasional flights in aerobatic airplanes, she was known to urge the pilots to "Loop it again" or "Stay up-side down!" She was always ready for any new adventure or experience and she had many.
In 1980, Lynn met Steve Turi who became a constant companion. They married in 2017 and Lynn left her West End Avenue home to live in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. In 2001 Lynn and Steve began studying and dancing Argentine Tango.
Lynn leaves behind her loving husband, Steve Turi and a brother, Alvin Lerner and Steve's entire family.
Arrangements are by Costa Memorial Home in Hasbrouck Heights.
