Maria Pansini (nee Angione) 94, of Moonachie formerly of Union City and Hoboken passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Born in Molfetta, Bari, Italy to the late Filomena and Sergio Angione. Before retiring, Maria was a seamstress in the coat industry for many years and a former chairperson for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was a parishioner of St. Margaret of Cortona R.C. Church in Little Ferry and was devoted to Padre Pio, the Madonna dei Martiri, and enjoyed daily Mass. Maria was a member of the Moonachie Seniors and a former member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge 1962 Ladies Auxiliary in Hasbrouck Heights. Maria had a passion for dressing elegantly and shopping for clothes. She loved family gatherings, cooking, gardening, music, dancing, traveling, helping others and was a loyal Yankee fan. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Pansini. Devoted mother of Lillian Salvemini and her husband Antonio, Anna Pansini and the late Michael Pansini and his surviving spouse AnnMarie. Dear sister of the late Martha Giovine. Loving grandmother of Lisa Handel and her husband Ryan, Anthony Pansini and Julianna Pansini. Beloved nonna of two cherished great granddaughters. Maria is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donations in her memory can be made to Saint Jude's Children Research Hospital. www.stjude.org
Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Monday, March 2nd at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Margaret of Cortona R.C. Church in Little Ferry at 10 AM. Entombment following at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visitation Sunday, March 1st from 2 - 6 PM at the funeral home.
