Maria A. Silva

Maria A. Silva (nee Soares) 84, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Born in Sao Pedro da Torre, Portugal to the late Dimantina and Marcilio Soares and came to the United States in 1976. Before retiring, Maria was a housekeeper at Hackensack Hospital. She loved to cook, garden and was always willing to help others. 

Beloved wife of Manuel Silva. Devoted mother of Jose Silva and his wife Adriana. Dear sister of Jose Soares, Luis Soares, Vicky Zarro, Maria-Celeste Araujo and the late Armanda Soares. Loving grandmother of Gray, Carlie and Angelina Silva and Maria Fiorella Rodriguez. 

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday, July 8th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church 125 Union Street in Lodi at 10 AM. Cremation following at Cedar Lawn Crematory. Visitation Tuesday, July 7th  from   4 - 7 PM at the funeral home.
