Martin H. Mohr

Martin H. Mohr, aged 92, passed away on June 27, 2022, peacefully with family by his side.

Martin was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 2, 1930 to the late Martin and Anna Mohr, and was the eldest of six children.

Martin served briefly in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952. His tenure was shortened following a paratrooper jump injury. He was last stationed on Governors Island in New York.

Martin resided in Oregon, Florida and Syracuse, NY before settling in Hackensack, NJ with his devoted wife of 55 years, Margaret "Midge" Mohr.

Throughout his adult life he had various jobs including a truck driver for the SevenUp Bottling Co. and a restaurant manager for Howard Johnson's. He was later employed as an accountant by the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company for over 20 years.

Martin is preceded in death by his loving parents, his wife, and his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Andersen.  He is survived by his three sisters Elinor Ramming, Anita Mohr, Karin O'Hara; and his brother and spouse, Gerhardt and Shirley Mohr.

Also surviving is his daughter Barbara Wesserling; his granddaughter, Jennifer Macaluso, her husband Brandon and their daughter, his great granddaughter, Shannon; and his extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He will be greatly missed by his entire family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
