Mary Rita (nee Walsh) Behr passed peacefully on March 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving children,
the dear daughter of Elizabeth and James Walsh and beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Behr for 58 years.

Caring mother to Thomas Behr and Donna Tunis, Patricia and Brian Lacey, Richard Behr and Andrea Wagner, John and Eileen Behr, James Behr and Annie Ramaglia and Maureen and Carlos Goyenechea.

Cherished Grandmother to Colleen [Michael], Susan [Tyler], Christine [Don], Richard [Kelly], Stephanie [Roger], Kevin, Daniel, Gregory, Sean and Ryan

Along with her Great Grandchildren, Skyler, Shane, Matthew, Owen, Patrick, Aidan, Laurel, Griffin, Mia, Mason and baby Lucas

She is survived by her dear cousin and very best friend Alice Dillon, joining her late cousins Ann Sheehan and Dorothy Quinn. Her beloved late in-laws Barbara and Anthony Pappas, Joan and George Alvarez and daughter-in-law MaryAnn Behr.
Aunt Mary will be missed by her many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary attended Holy Trinity Church for 70 years and practiced her faith for hope and strength each day, she was a giving and kind person to everyone she met.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday, March 29th at 8:45 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Hackensack at 10 AM. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Tuesday, March 28th from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Autism Speaks would be appreciated.
