Mary N. Russo (nee Ramputi) of Rochelle Park formerly of Ocean Township and Hasbrouck Heights passed away peacefully at the age of 98. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony, the love of her life, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion.
Born in the Bronx, NY on December 24, 1927, Mary was the cherished daughter of the late Angelina and Daniel Ramputi, and the eldest of 4 children. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Mary dedicated her life to her family. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals, exceptional baking, warm smile and gentle spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her happiest moments were spent gathered around the table with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, sharing food, laughter, and treasured memories.
Mary was the loving mother of Daniel Russo and his wife Lisa, Carol Cole and her husband Dave, Francine DeLuise and her husband Steve and Janet Russo and her husband Joseph Licitra. Loving Grandmother of Katelyn (Clint), Gregory (Patricia), Julianna, Michael (Danielle), Anthony (Elizabeth), Alex and Mark and cherished great grandmother of Sienna, Lainey, Hayden and Dominic. Mary was predeceased by her dear siblings Guido Ramputi, Eda Traina and Anthony Ramputi.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, June 28th from 1 - 5 PM at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Rochelle Park on Monday, June 29th at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack.
