HASBROUCK HEIGHTS- Michael J. Cahill 88, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. Born in Jersey City to the late Michael J. and Mary Agnes Cahill. Michael was an Army veteran of the Korean War serving in Germany and was a former Commander of the James B. Scarr American Legion Post 106 in Hasbrouck Heights for 23 years and a former Chaplain for the V.F.W. Post 809 in Little Ferry. Before retiring, Michael was a truck driver for the United Parcel Service in Secaucus and a member of the Teamsters Union Local 177 and their Retiree Club. He was also a member of Older is Better at Felician College and the Leisure Club in Hasbrouck Heights. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Cahill. Devoted step-father of Alexander J. Przekupowski and his wife Mary. Dear brother of Matthew Cahill and his wife Gloria and the late Mary "Pat" Wagner and her late husband Ed and the late Sr. Elizabeth Michael Cahill. Loving step-grandfather of Alexander J. Przekupowski and David Przekupowski. Cherished step-great grandfather of Julia and Alison. Uncle of Joseph Wagner and the late Edward Wagner. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, December 29th at 10 AM. (All to meet at church). Interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements are by Costa Memorial Home in Hasbrouck Heights.
