"Nicola Romano, 77, of Manchester, NJ (formerly of Maywood, NJ) passed away on December 30, 2024 with his family by his side. He was born on January 15, 1947 in Avella, Italy to the late Bernardino and Domenica. Nicola is survived by his children Stephanie (John), Cynthia (Josh), Angela (Robert), and Bernard (Amber). Devoted grandfather to Caylie, Joshua Jake, Eden, and Nola. He is also survived by a large family that includes his brother, Angelo, his sisters, Lorenza and Maria, their spouses, many nieces and nephews, former wife Denise, and friends that adored him. Nicola will be greatly missed. After working for Marcal for over 20 years, he decided to take his love for gardening from a hobby to a career and started his own successful lawn maintenance company until he retired at the age of 70. He took great pride in working hard, doing a good job, and being respectful and attentive to all his clients. After retiring, he enjoyed being outside, tending to his garden, fixing and building things, and going to the beach. Nicola considered his family his greatest accomplishment. He was happiest when spending time with his children and grandchildren."

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Monday, January 6th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Our Lady Queen of Peace R.C. Church 400 Maywood Avenue in Maywood at 10 AM. Entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Sunday, January 5th from 1 -  5 PM at the funeral home.
