Obituary

Pauline J. Del Greco (nee Grutkosky) 96, of Wood-Ridge formerly of Secaucus passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Born in Jersey City to the late Marianna and Tomas Grutkosky. She was a graduate from Ferris High School and Drake Secretarial College both in Jersey City. Before retiring, Pauline was a bookkeeper for Certified Bakery in Carlstadt and previously, she worked at Oceanic Containers in Port Newark, J.W. Runge, Railroad Roofing and J.I. Hass all in Jersey City. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Del Greco. Devoted mother of Marc Werby and the late Lisa Del Greco. Dear sister of the late Jan Grutkowski, Mary Granda, Thomas Grutkosky, Regina Bartoszek, Alfonse Grutkowski, Steven Grutkowski and Hedwig Roma.  Pauline is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Janice Bartoszek Cannito (Jerry), Robert Bartoszek, Jeffrey Bartoszek (Patty), Maryann Bartoszek Duffy (Frank), Gail Bartoszek Menist (Greg), Marylou Grutkowski Youst (Greg), Susan Granda (Byron), Debbie Grutkowski Olsen (Chuck), Thomas Grutkowski (Robin), Gary Grutkowski (Lillian), Carol Roma Lee, Hedy Roma Gonzalez (Tony), Mary Roma (Rene) and the late Billy Granda and the beloved Coco.

Pauline was very patriotic. She was an avid book reader, watched Turner Classic Movies, the Columbo episodes and loved researching her DNA family tree on ancestry.com. She enjoyed taking trips to the Poconos, spending time with her family, cooking and watching cooking shows and QVS Home Shopping and cleaning. Even though she was not an avid sports fan, she attended the Brooklyn Dodgers vs N.Y. Yankees World Series game at Ebbets Field in 1955.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, March 24th at 9:30 AM. Funeral Liturgy from the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady in Wood-Ridge at 10:30 AM. Interment following at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Visitation Monday, March 23rd from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
