Reverend Stephen D. Lake 75, of Tannersville, PA. formerly of River Edge passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Born in New York, NY to the late Varnall and Dolores Lake.Stephen was a Navy veteran during the Vietnam War serving from 1965-1971 and was a member of the V.F.W. Post in PA. and the Disabled American Veterans. Before retiring, he was the owner of Gino's Restaurant in Asbury Park. He was a graduate of Marywood College where he received his Bachelors Degree and a graduate of Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, OK. Stephen was an ordained Christian Minister and a former Chaplain for the Luzerne County Jail in PA. Beloved husband of Paulette (nee Krueger) Lake. Step-father of Nicole Walters and her husband Jim (Little Ferry Police Chief) and Billy Andes and his wife Lorraine. Dear brother of Patti Meier and her late husband Paul and the late Robert Lake. Loving grandfather of Joseph Walters and his wife Dariana, Matthew Walters and Jenna Walters. Cherished uncle of Paul, Steven and Laura. Funeral Service at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, August 21st at 12 Noon. Reverend Paul Bruno officiating. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park. Paramus. Visitation Saturday from 11:30-12 Noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the Disabled American Veterans of your choice would be appreciated.
