Richard A. Balletto 85, of Hasbrouck Heights formerly of Hoboken passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Born in Hoboken to the late Frank and Philomena Balletto. Before retiring, he was a Chief Clerk for the International Longshoremen Association in Port Elizabeth. Richard was an avid model ship builder and was featured in many newspapers and his work was displayed in many of the county libraries. He was a member of the Hasbrouck Heights, Ridgefield Park and the Cherry Ridge Pistol Ranges and was a former member of the former Pioneer Club in Hasbrouck Heights. Beloved husband of Lucille (nee Smith) Balletto. Devoted father of Diane Balletto Prinke and her husband Joseph, Laura French and Richard Balletto. Dear brother of the late Frank "Sonny" Balletto. Loving grandfather of Mia and her fiancé Michael, Joseph, Michael and his wife Victoria and Adam. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, June 26th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Private cremation will follow. Visitation Friday, June 25th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the John Theurer Cancer Center in Hackensack in memory of Richard A. Balletto would be appreciated.
