Richard J. Dunne, 76, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022. Born in Jersey City to the late James and Elizabeth Dunne. Richard received his Bachelors Degree in accounting from St. Peter's College in Jersey City. He was a veteran of the US Army. Before retiring, he was an accountant at the United Jersey Bank in Hackensack where he served as a deputy auditor, and previously he worked for Peat Marwick. Richard was a member of the NJ Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Beloved husband of Arleen J. (nee Woods) Dunne. Devoted father of Mike Dunne and his wife Katie and Tim Dunne and his wife Leanne. Dear brother of James Dunne, Marybeth Johnson and her husband William and Jack Dunne and his wife Diane. Brother-in-law of Joan Samiec and her husband Adam and Warren Woods and his wife Mary Beth. Loving grandfather of Brayden, Maggie, Sadie, Claire and Emma.

Richard was passionate about sports and a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and Notre Dame football teams.  He was proud of his Irish heritage and his greatest joy was his family, especially his five grandchildren.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, August 16th at 10 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church Hasbrouck Heights at 11 AM. Interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
