Richard H. Newell 74, of Galloway formerly of Lodi passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021. Born in New York City to the late John and Elizabeth Newell. Richard was a Marine Corps. veteran of the Vietnam War.  Before retiring, he was Program Director at the Boys and Girls Club in Lodi. He was a former coach for the Lodi Little League, a life member of The Lodi Old Timers Club and a former member of the Elks Lodge in Garfield. Beloved husband of Grazia "Grace" (nee Alesci) Newell. Devoted father of John Newell and his wife Melissa and Denise Madsen and her husband William. Dear brother of Theodore Newell, John Newell and the late Barbara Newell and Victoria Petrie. Loving grandfather of Liam, Maya, Jackson, Alexander and Brian. Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, September 17th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Joseph's R.C. Church Lodi at 10 AM. Interment following at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visitation Thursday, September 16th from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
