Rita Fulhardt Keegan O'Sullivan age 97, of Wood-Ridge passed away after a full, and active life on Friday, January 21,2022. She was predeceased by husbands, Donald Keegan and Raymond O'Sullivan and son, John O'Sullivan. She is survived by children Karen Keegan, Barbara Shackford and her husband Paul, Kendal Garvin and her husband Chris, Kevin Keegan and his wife Donna, Nancy O'Sullivan, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Rita retired after enjoying 27 years of teaching at St. John's Parochial School in Bohemia, NY. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her puzzles, crafts, and sewing. As she relocated from New York to Virginia to New Jersey she enjoyed her family in each and volunteered for the local library, the YMCA, and her church. Among just a few of her interests, was crocheting blankets for dialysis patients, making coverups for penguins rescued after oil spills and helping to make the costumes for the WRHS Musical. For many years she donated cards to the prisoners in a NJ prison so they would have cards to send to their families. An interesting lady she was!

Her family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17 between 4-8PM at Costa Memorial Home, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ (masks are required) followed by a funeral mass on Friday, February 18 at Assumption Church, Wood Ridge at 10:30AM.
