Robert C. Dianuzzo, Sr. "Bob" 80, of Wood-Ridge formerly of Lodi passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021. Born in Passaic to the late Nicola and Jennie Dianuzzo, he was the youngest of 9 siblings. Bob was an Army veteran. Loving husband of Carolyn (nee Hayward) Dianuzzo whom he married on Halloween in 1964, they were just short of celebrating 57 happy years together. Devoted father of Lisa and Robert C. Jr. Adoring grandfather of Nicole and Joseph Dianuzzo. Dear brother of Nick and Joe Dianuzzo, Palma Mathe and Geri Dianuzzo. Brother-in-law of Robert and Judi Hayward, Evelyn and Ann Dianuzzo and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Mike and John Dianuzzo and his sister, Marie Morris. Bob attended R.C.A. Institute from September 1958 - May 19, 1960 where he completed a course in Television & General Electronics. He started his career at Bendix in Lodi and went on to become part of the Artkraft Strauss Sign Corp., as Electrical Foreman where he worked for 32 years. Bob was a licensed electrician and kept Times Square aglow with flashy neon signs. But his most notable affiliation was being part of the crew that lowered the ball at One Times Square every New Years Eve for 23 years. Bob was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local Union No. 3 in New York City and was a member of the Bronx Acorn Club. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in New York. Bob spent the past 20 years enjoying the retired life. He and his wife took many cruises with family and friends. Funeral Service at Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday, November 3rd at 10:30 AM. Interment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Tuesday, November 2nd from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
