Tamarac, FL – Robert Garnie

It is with the deepest sadness that the family of Robert Garnie announces his passing on July 7, 2022 at the age of 83.

Robert grew up in Clifton and Passaic, NJ, before moving to New York City and then settling in Florida. He always put his family first and was thoughtful and compassionate to all around him. He was an avid animal lover, particularly dogs, especially his boys Riley and Bentley who already miss their daily walks. Bob loved going to Atlantic City  and flea market trips with his sisters Frances and Midge. The warm Florida weather was what kept him there but Bob loved his trips to NJ to see his family who cherished him dearly.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Midge Messina, Marge Presto, and sister in law Norma Garnardello.

Uncle Bob will be forever remembered by his greatly loved nieces and nephews, Marty Van Strien (Fran), Joni Van Strien, Carol Drummond, Gerry Garnardello, Nancy Garnardello, Jackie Garnardello (Michelle), Rosanne Telischak (Vito), Diane Casini, Margaret Clark (Steve), Patricia Presto, Lisa Galli, Donna Costa and Laura Kowalski. He will also be remembered by his cousin William Doyle.

Great Uncle Bob will be forever loved by his numerous great nieces and nephews. Vanecia (Sean), Marty, Samuel, Helena, Crystal, Terence, Dana (Harold), Beth Anne (Stefan), Joseph (Kathleen), Vito (Jennifer), Jennifer (Luigi), Michelle (Matt), Kristen (Rory), Vanessa (Vincent), Ashley (Dahsiem), Dominique, Robert, Joseph (Brittany), Thomas, Jenna, Nicole (Michael), Danielle (Lawrence), Michael, Matthew, and Kevin.

He will also be missed by his great grand nieces and nephews, Emmalee, Allie, Rowan, Penelope, William, Saviona, Jaya, Jaizion, Janasia, Antwon, Jerry, Lilly, China, Tania, Terence, Tiara, Christian, Harper, Anastasia, Krystof, Luca, Anthony, Sadie, Emerson, Greyson, Brody, Francesca, Isabella, Kailah, Lily, Taylor, Kaia, Jayden, Sean, AJ, Ryann, Dekoyer and Imani.

Bob is predeceased by his parents Emma and Francisco, two sisters, Helen and Frances, his brothers, Frank and Joseph, his niece Debbie, and two nephews, Freddy and Frankie and his nephews in law Dave, Alan, Ernie and Al. Bob is also predeceased by his beloved cousin Babs Doyle and his longtime friend Carl Grosso.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 14th from 4:30 - 8:30 PM at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Avenue (corner of Blvd.)  Hasbrouck Heights 07604. Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 15th at 11 AM at Costa Memorial Home. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories, 300 Soldier Hill Road Township of Washington, 07676.
