Dr. Roger J. Szanto, D.M.D. 74, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Tuesday, February, 10, 2026. Roger was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and the N.J. School of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark. Before retiring, he was a dentist in Hasbrouck Heights for many years. Roger was a faithful parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and an usher. He was a former member of the Ambulance Corps and a former Deputy Coordinator for the Office of Emergency Management both in Hasbrouck Heights. He was an Associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police (NJ State Lodge) in Kenilworth, an Honorary member of the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association and an Honorary member of the State Troopers Fraternal Association of New Jersey. Roger was a former BLS instructor at the Bergen County EMS Taining Center and was part of the dental program at Bergen Community College both in Paramus. He was a former staff member at Hackensack University Medical Center in their Dental Clinic.

Loving son of the late Marie and Joseph Szanto. Cherished nephew to Loretta Santo and her late husband Dr. Richard Santo, the late James Szanto and his late aunt Lillian, the late Rose Hudak and the late Joseph Horn. He is also survived by his cousins; Patricia Szanto and her fiance Kevin Sachs, Karen Gulino and her husband Joseph, Dr. Timothy Santo, D.C. and his wife Denise and their children, Laura, Amy and his Godson Paul, Eric Santo and Bonnie Santo.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, February 21st at 8:30 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights at 9:30 AM. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visitation Friday, February 20th from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
