Obituary

Salvatore Francis Pecoraro of Hasbrouck Heights, formally of Lodi, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Sal served as a Sergeant in New Jersey Army National Guard from 1954 through 1962. He was past president of the Lodi Old Timers and Little League. He also managed and led the 11-12 year old Boys to the New Jersey State Championship in 1973. Sal was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish in Hasbrouck Heights. He retired from Yoo-Hoo Beverage Company in 2002 after 27 years of service and started his career with The Oneida Paper Company. Sal also worked for many years installing carpeting.

Sal was predeceased by his mother Natalie (nee Plescia) and his loving wife of 67 years Frances (nee Peraino) Pecoraro.
He is survived by his children Cheryl (Rick) Sarro and Stacey (Stephen) Drotos.  Sal enjoyed moments shared with his four grandchildren Ashley (Tommy) Richele, Stephen and Eric. To add to his joy, he was blessed with three great grandchildren, Dominic, Giuliana, and Gabriella.

One of Sal's favorite hobbies was bowling and he had bowled a perfect game of 300.  One of his favorite traditions was vacationing to Wildwood Crest with his family, a tradition that spanned over 60 years with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Sal loved what he and Fran created, Family being the most important thing to him.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, November 8th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM. Cremation will be private. Visitation Thursday, November 7th  from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home.

Sal's family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
