Sophie Bove (nee Vargo) 91, of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Born in Jersey City to the late Johan and Elizabeth Vargo. Before retiring, Sophie was a laboratory technician at Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley for twenty-five years. She was a faithful parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church in Hasbrouck Heights. Beloved wife of the late Sam Bove. Dear sister of Elizabeth O'Neill, Andrew Vargo and his wife Louise and the late Anna Vargo, Joe Vargo, Helen Schultz, Mary Polack and John Vargo. Loving aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, January 5th at 10 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard Hasbrouck Heights at 11 AM. Interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Thursday, January 4th from  4 - 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
