Stephen "Flash"
A. Gordon
October 1, 1958 — March 9, 2024
Stephen "Flash" A. Gordon, 65, of Rochelle Park passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Born in Ogdensburg, NY to Elizabeth Poor and her husband Robert and the late Alfred Gordon. Beloved husband of Anne L. (nee LaPierre) Gordon. Devoted father of Benjamin, Andrew and Randall Gordon. Dear brother of Susan Huntley, Christopher Gordon and his wife Faith, Robert Gordon and his wife Kathy and Kevin Poor and his wife Sue. Son-in-law of Allien and George LaPierre. Brother-in-law of Andrea Kanakis and her husband Angelo and Alicia LaPierre and her husband Dominique Mossmann. Cherished uncle to dozens of nieces and nephews. Survived by several loving aunts and uncles.
Steve was a tent buyer and head of the repair department at Campmor in Paramus for over 25 years. He loved the outdoors, and camped with his family for many years in Northern New York. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the outdoors with any and all who wanted to know more.
When not outdoors, Steve coached youth wrestling in Hackensack and coached and served as a board member for the Rochelle Park Recreational Soccer program. He was a Deacon at Upper Ridgewood Community Church. When not being an avid community member he enjoyed many hobbies, and despite his green thumbs he bled blue as a long time New York Giants fanatic. He also enjoyed woodworking, cooking and baking, and caring for numerous fish tanks over the years.
